Patch & Play Bags is a brand founded and produced by Josefine Wiewegg. We sell small but sturdy tote bags for toddlers and small kids playtime and adventures. At the moment our collection consists of tote bags of different gingham and striped cotton fabrics. We will soon launch patches and bag charms to be added to the bags or purchased separately! The idea for Patch & Play Bags began when our founder Josefine made a small tote bag for her daughter Helmi to play with.
It didn't take long before that little bag was filled with treasures and toys — quickly becoming a favorite in Helmi's play room, for both her and her friends.
That's exactly the feeling we want to share with you!
A small, playful, sturdy bag to carry through everyday moments or little adventures — to the store, on trips, treasure hunts, or simply around the house during playtime. Children love the feeling of being independent while still close to their parents or caregivers. Having a little bag of their own — one that mimics the grown-ups — brings a quiet sense of pride, belonging, and responsibility.

Each Patch & Play Bag is carefully hand sewn by Josefine, all bags using exclusively cotton on the outer part of the fabric, so only cotton where your little ones sensitive hands meet the bag. They are made to become part of a child's play, creativity, and those small magical everyday moments.
Josefine has always been dedicated to and passionate about art, needlework, and crafts across a wide range of materials and mediums. Sewing and embroidery, however, have been a constant form of expression since she was very young.
When Josefine became a mother to little Helmi in 2024, a new passion was born — creating and sewing both clothes and toys for her daughter. A whole new world opened up, where the possibilities felt endless and only imagination set the limits.
The world of children is full of color and imagination. That is where we want to be — in a magical landscape of adventure. A place where children can develop their creativity and independence in a playful environment.
